addicted to oblivion

Around a week back I released my top 5 RPG’s of all time. That list did NOT contain Oblivion, however I did give it an honorable mention. After playing Oblivion a lot over the past week, I am starting to think that it belongs on that list. Baldurs Gate 2 and Icewind Dale are great games, but they made my list based on how much fun I had while playing them. For instance, I played BG2 with Luke and we had an awesome time. Same with Icewind Dale, I played that with Jayngo, and it was a blast. Those are the things that really stand out to me about those two games in particular, not the game-play or the story, though they were really good, its the fun times with friends that I remember. Some of the other games on that list do truly deserve their spot though. Mass Effect and Baldurs Gate for instance, are games that I played entirely by myself, and all I remember from those games is just how great they were.

I am not sure if I am going to redo my top 5 list, but if I do, it will be a lot harder this time around now that I have spent some time with Oblivion.
